Still Palestine

Still Palestine

Many moons have waned

Since last you gazed upon me

Yet live in hope I do

That your gaze will fall upon me

Look again towards me

O beloved of mine

Look beneath the rubble

I am still Palestine

Maybe you will free me

And my heart will shine

Maybe my calm breezes

Will again blow your mind

Just don’t forget me

I am still Palestine

Though they are taking me

Settlement by settlement

My soul still wanders free

In your hearts’ embodiment

You can still restore me

To magnificent times

When you were mine

And I was your Palestine

Maybe you will free me

And my heart will shine

Maybe my calm breezes

Will again blow your mind

Just don’t forget me

I am still Palestine

The waves of the Mediterranean

Still crash upon my captive shores

And Salahudeen’s martyrs lie resting

Beneath Jerusalem’s doors

Oh it’s a matter of time

And victory will be mine

Just don’t doubt me

I am your Palestine

Maybe you will free me

And my heart will shine

Maybe my calm breezes

Will again blow your mind

Just don’t forget me

I am still Palestine

Really like this poem. Allah ease the suffering of our brothers, vanquish their enemies, and brighten their futures and that of the Ummah.

    The dead are martyrs
    The living are fighters
    The future is ours
